Today in class we Learned about Julius Cesar and the people that helped him rise to power. Julius Cesar’s first big accomplishment was conquering Gaul when he returned he intended to parade his me through Rome when the government told him he had to leave some of his troops behind he took them all anyway and paraded them through Rome. Soon he was elected Consul and in a time of panic he was appointed Dictator for Six months and in that time, he was Dictator appointed himself Dictator for life. This made the Aristocrats mad and they eventually called him to the Senate hall and stabbed him 23 times and everyone involved in the plan covered their hands in his blood so one person could not be blamed for the murder and soon after Octavius Cesar was appointed Emperor ending the republic.

the preamble

the preamble is the start of the constitution it states what the founding fathers set out to do with the constitution. it states that there will be no domestic violence and established a court system, provide troops, give every person equal voting rights, and to establish ourselves as the United States of America.

in today's blog we where told to write about the articles of confederation, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The Articles of Confederation was the precursor to the constitution allowing states rights to make there own laws within the state in this form of government the people had little to no power in the government. the people protested and the Articles of Confederation where repealed and the constitution was made in its place it allowed people to have some say in the government by electing representatives to vote for them. finally the bill of rights gave Americans the rights they wanted that king George didnt give them

The Declaration of independence was our way of detaching from Brittan two future presidents John Adams and Thomas Jefferson signed it, and it was also signed by Ben Franklin and was written by Thomas Jefferson as well although it was not signed by anyone representing Georgia. In the text there are two major parts the first was the colonists listing the things King George did that made them want to leave Brittan some examples are the refusal of laws the colonists tried to pass, failing to keep a well laid government and starting war with them, for cutting of their trade with the rest of the world, for taxing them without their consent, for throwing them in jail without trial, and taking them across a oceans for things we didn’t do. Next, they explained this with worldwide context saying “Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.” Which is saying that they have every right to leave Brittan and become their own nation.
